Orienteering is a group of adventure sports that are a combination of racing and navigation. People participating in them are required to use their navigational skills while moving from one point to another in unfamiliar terrains. The aim is to find the best route while navigating between a set of control points in the quickest time possible. These generally take place in a variety of surroundings like the school playgrounds, countryside or even remote forests. Orienteering is an ideal choice of adventure sports for those who love being outdoors. Both young and the old can participate as orienteering is an adventure sport suitable for all.
